Concept: I was interested in how we can experience a multitude of other spaces, times and realities through the windows of technology. I was thinking about the computer screen as an interface to other realities, and how these other realities co-exist against the backdrop of the on-going cycles of nature. |

Project Description: Two video projections: One, waves crashing onto a beach, positioned at the point-of-view within the gallery space that 'maps' onto the point-of-view in real space. The other image shows a video projection of clouds drifting by, positioned in the gallery space in relation to the original point-of-view. Four transistor radios, tuned to four different stations, provided an ever-changing soundtrack within the space. The entire gallery space was re-painted in order to create a sense of 'immersion' for the viewer. |
